A Hybrid Cloud Framework for Scientific Computing

Welcome to the homepage of the Hybrid Framework for Scientific Computing project.

This ongoing research project is aimed at providing a system by which programs that have traditionally been restricted to supercomputer or customized hardware might be more efficiently run in the cloud

I, Brian Peterson , a PhD student in Computer Science at LSU, am working on this project under the direction of Dr. Gerald Baumgartner, my advisor, in collaboration with Dr. Qingyang Wang, both faculty members at LSU in Computer Science.

Our first paper, "A Hybrid Cloud Framework for Scientific Computing," discussing results based on simulations of work distribution algorithms, has been accepted to the IEEE Cloud 2015 Conference.
