We are the proud parents of three cute girls! Tatiana and Natalia are delighted by the recent arrival of their baby sister, Nicole Amelia. Here are some pictures:

So, what do I do for play? Well, first of all I play a lot with my daughters of course!! Other than that, I love snow skiing, mountain biking, snorkeling, camping, and all sorts of outdoor activities... Fortunately here in Massachusetts there are many beautiful forests and lakes to visit in the nearby areas, and the weather is great: skiing and plenty of fun with the snow in the winter, mountain biking and hiking in the beautiful fall and spring, camping and beach fun in the warm summers... It's great to have all 4 seasons!!

Talking about hobbies, long time ago I used to paint. Here are two of my early paintings (circa 1990):

After that I was too busy with the graduate school and later with career and family. Only recently I found again the time to use my brushes and between having fun with my daughters and teaching them how to paint I started producing some new paintings. Here are two recent ones (2002):

Of course, most of the time instead of painting I do programming. I am not complaining though, I absolutely love developing software! Actually, programming and painting have more in common than most people think. Creating software (or ideas) gives as much satisfaction as creating paintings, but it also pays much better!... That's one of the reasons that convinced me to become a computer scientist instead of painter :-)... see my professional side.
